# stat

- Display properties about a specific file such as size, permissions, creation and access dates among others:

|
|

`stat {{[-t|--terse]}} {{path/to/file}}`
|
|
|
|
- Display information about the filesystem where a specific file is located:

- Show only octal file permissions:
