- Create a NTFS filesystem inside partition Y on device X:

- Create filesystem with a volume-label:

`mkfs.ntfs {{[-L|--label]}} {{volume_label}} {{/dev/sdXY}}`
|
|
|
|
- Create filesystem with specific UUID:
|
|
|
|
`mkfs.ntfs {{[-U|--with-uuid]}} {{UUID}} {{/dev/sdXY}}`
